About the Association
TAOMAAK
The Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association of Alaska (TAOMAAK) is a professional, non-profit organization for the benefit of licensed Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Practitioners in the State of Alaska.
Members of the Association are licensed through the
National Certification
Commission for Acupuncture and
Oriental Medicine and the
State of Alaska.
Association Purposes
The Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association of Alaska (TAOMAAK) is a professional non-profit organization of licensed practitioners of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in the State of Alaska. The purposes of which are as follows:

To protect the health, welfare and
public interest of Alaskans in relationship to their access
to the practice of acupuncture and oriental medicine. -
To uphold the tradition of, encourage and foster the form of the healing art known as acupuncture and oriental medicine as defined by Alaska State Statutes.

To enhance upgrading of the skills and abilities of acupuncturists and oriental medicine practitioners through sponsorship of continuing education programs.

To nurture individual and community awareness in creating health and well being through oriental medical principles.

To educate the public regarding the nature and scope of acupuncture and oriental medicine.

To provide a forum for open discussion among practitioners in relation to our tradition.

To foster and maintain a professional, informative, friendly rapport with the medical community in the best interest of delivering effective health care to the public.

To promote mentorship, professional esteem, and confidence in the practice of oriental medicine.

Annual MEMBERSHIP Dues
Dues for March 1, 2006 - February 28, 2007
Professional Member: $100 (after March 15, $125.00)
Non-Voting Student Membership*: $50 (after March 15, 2005 $75.00
*You must be actively enrolled in acupuncture school.
