Why Join?

The Alaska Acupuncture Association is the professional, authoritative, and unified voice for all Acupuncturists in the state of Alaska. By joining, you become part of this voice.

National Representation

Being an AAA member automatically makes you a member of the American Society of Acupuncturists (ASA), the nation’s most comprehensive Acupuncture professional society, without having to pay an additional membership fee. The ASA works closely with the NCCAOM, ACAOM, the Acupuncture Now Foundation and other organizations to promote and protect AOM nationally without competing with states for membership dollars.

We Promote Your Practice

Your practice will be listed on our website’s public, searchable database which includes your biography, specialties, a high-quality link to your website, and more. This has an over $100 per year value alone. In essence, it can pay for your membership!

We Educate the Public

Our website educates the public about the extensive training and qualifications our members have as Licensed Acupuncturists and about the benefits of receiving Acupuncture and East Asian medical treatments.

We Are Your Community

Meet and socialize with your colleagues at our general meetings and seminars that include nationally-known instructors and affordable CEUs. Learn about issues affecting our profession locally and nationally.

Take advantage of opportunities to serve your profession on the AAA board and committees. This is your change to have a voice in the direction your profession is evolving and your scope of practice in the state of Alaska. Board members can receive 10 PDAs toward NCCAOM recertification.
